Donnie is the co-owner of Uptempo Athletics Maui and is the Head Coach and Trainer.

Donnie has been coaching for over 15 years. Donnie was a standout basketball player for Baldwin High School and went on to walk on the Hawaii Pacific University Basketball Team in college. Since then, he has still been playing basketball in Men’s Leagues on Maui and tournaments on Maui and off island.

Donnie is also the Maui FIL-Am Basketball Commissioner, running Maui FIL-Am Basketball for youth to men’s divisions. He is also currently the Maui Fil-Am Basketball Youth Coach.

Donnie is currently the Baldwin High School JV Boys Head Coach and is an Assistant Coach for the Baldwin High School Boys Varsity Team. He is also the Hawai’i Regional Director and Coach for Fil-Am Nation Select, a global organization who’s purpose is to identify all Filipino-American Athletes across the US and provide a platform for exposure and education. He also coaches youth basketball teams across the county of Maui.

Jansen is one of our Lead Coaches at Uptempo Athletics Maui. He played for King Kekaulike High School in High School and went on to play college ball at Hartnell College in CA and Lane College in Oregon. Aside from being a basketball standout, Jansen was also a Track and Field all star. Jansen holds the record on Maui for the Long Jump.

Jansen is currently still playing basketball at a high level, playing in numerous leagues on Maui and many off island tournaments on Oahu and the Mainland.

Ryan is one of our Lead Coaches and Trainers at Uptempo Athletics Maui. He played for Baldwin High School and was a standout football player and basketball player. Ryan is currently still playing basketball at a high level as well, playing in Men’s Leagues here on Maui.
